there's a costco in town that opened in the past year and i haven't been yet. is it worth buying a membership if i don't really need to buy stuff in bulk and it's far enough out of the way (~25 min drive) that i'd never casually stop in because i was nearby?

i used to go to sam's sometimes using my parents' membership, but there just wasn't much i found there to make the trip worthwhile.

Costco usually has better products than Sam's imo but it doesn't sound like you'd be buying anything anyways? I mean, you could just stop by costco once and walk around to see if theres stuff that you'd actually buy on any kind of regular basis

I suppose it renders the butter spreadable even when fridged?

Slightly more butter than olive oil for the most part. Easily spreads when used right out of the fridge. I don't add salt just because most bread already has a decent amount of sodium but thats just personal preference

I haven't seen it at mine. My warehouse does carry paneer though, which is also good when grilled/fried up. Mexican panela cheese also works for that too, but I dunno if costco has that either

I guess I don't absolutely hate them, but half of one moon cake is really all I need each year. Its definitely a food that gets thrown out a lot though, people just buy them because they feel like they're supposed to.

What are the absolute top tier family entrees from costco? I'm married with kids and sometimes want to just take something from the freezer and put it in the oven. I love the lasagne but my wife is getting sick of it. And what are the best frozen chicken breasts/nuggets? are any of them not reconstituted meat? The Tyson ones are.

Does your store carry the ROCKY breaded chicken by petaluma poultry? I've never bought it, but I've gotten the same branded raw whole chicken from the grocery and its really good
