I used to download their database dump (in like CSVs) and run my own database and queries, can recommend if you have nothing better to do

what exactly are you collecting?

You can get the raw data from here: https://www.imdb.com/interfaces/. It's a lot of stuff, but also not completely everything of course.

Then those files can be imported into a SQL database and then you can make queries or interfaces on top of that. It's not that complicated but more involved than I can go into in a short post. But if you say what you're looking for, maybe there's a simpler solution.
