You know, I wonder if he'd ever try to pull off some sort of false flag thing to try to show how easy it would be for the government to pull it off. And then when people rightly call him out about how what he did was fake and here's the evidence why, he doubles down on it and tries to sue them.

I guess it's only appropriate that the thread about the ridiculous conspiracy theories guy has descended into people posting ridiculous conspiracy theories

I didn't say that he has done anything of the sort or even that he is planning to do anything of the sort. I'm curious if he will try at some point. That's not a conspiracy theory.

loving LOL. It's like a video game where they highlight various details, mechanics and characters in the story to help the player follow along.

I think the funniest part, from the comments, is that some of the hyperlinks are blue. But other hyperlinks are purple, meaning they've been clicked. So that means that not only is the formatting absurdly sloppy and nobody bothered with an editing pass, but they didn't even read everything they cited.

The number of people who can spare a billion dollars like it's nothing is extremely small, and there's no reason for any of them to care that much about Alex Jones. They can fund hundreds of conspiracy theorist shock jocks with that amount, Jones isn't so special as to be irreplaceable.

Also anyone who can pick up his audience has a ready-made pack of rubes willing to shill out for boner powder and brain pills.

What is an objection in the context of a deposition like this? It doesn't seem to stop the guy from answering questions, nor is there any third party that sustains said objections?

The judge reviews it later and rules on the objections. The jury is only allowed to see what the judge thinks is appropriate. Everyone that isn't the jury can review everything because we don't matter.

Got it. So you basically just object to every question from opposing counsel on the off chance that the question will be tossed?

The problem with a minimum wage is that no matter how high you raise it, they're going to raise the prices of everything to match; who cares if you're earning $5000 a month if your cost of living is $4999?

As opposed to now, when the cost of living is surging without wages rising to match?

This seems like a massive weakness in the justice system, glaringly so.

Like, literally, just pay-to-win as long as your opponent doesn't have the cash to keep going, regardless of the merits of their case.

Do judges not see that this is what is happening, or do they just not give a poo poo?

The very wealthy write the laws or buy off the people who do. Those with power and connections know the judges as well, and influence who gets to be on the bench. It's very, very much a feature and not a bug.

Alex Jones had to spend *years* making GBS threads on people like the judge personally and directly, while completely refusing to participate in the process at all and being a belligerent rear end in a top hat to everyone and anyone involved then lying to the world about all of it to reach this point. Even dumb millionaires can listen to a lawyer, and let their money win the case for them via the exact route being discussed by the person you're responding to. Jones is a uniquely broke-brained individual to manage the accomplishment of having a default judgement against him. Default judgements are rare and he had to work to win that prize.

His actions in no way invalidate the existence of a two-tiered justice system. They prove him to be such a colossal fuckwit and poo poo head that he did not take part in that system, they do not work to prove its nonexistence.

This. The whole point is that the system needs a veneer of respectability and fair play. There are rules in place, it's just that the rules are written in a specific way and arbitrarily enforced to give the wealthy and powerful an overwhelming advantage.

Do the victims get paid in installments as money is found, or does all of the money have to be accounted for before anything is paid out?
