Imo balkans > caucasus > baltics Balkans have the serbs which makes them the best. Caucasuses still stand strong because Armenian food is dope despite being dragged down by the dullard countries that surround them, and the baltics are the bottom because I don't actually know what they contribute to the world outside of hitler memes.

I don't know about pre yugoslavia stuff, but there really isn't much good stuff about yugoslavia and post yugoslavia. Most of the stuff written is by westerners who really didn't like the serbs or just untranslated. That being said I really enjoyed the following: Tito and His Comrades - A biography of Tito To Kill a Nation - Talks about the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia.

biglads posted:The Balkans 1804-2012 by Misha Glenny is pretty good although obviously not just about Yugoslavia. Lol that book is on my reading list but the size of it alone is so intimidating. I really liked Tito and his comrades, although that is more a biography of Tito.
