i listen to podcasts and watch a youtube video, and the constant postscript of "make sure to like follow and subscribe" has driven me nuts for years. using these terms in this way is pretty recent phenomena. telling someone 50 years ago that you were being followed by a mysterious man had completely different implications.

time marches on, tik tok will give way to the next phenomena, and it'll introduce a new term. what's it gonna be? let's try and get ahead of the curve on this one.

will the gig economy accelerate and we'll hear influencers begging us to "like subscribe and employ me!"

could neural-computer link up metaverse stars whisper "don't forget to synchronize with my daily pov of ASMR style toothbrushing"

maybe space travel becomes cheap and blasting off takes on a whole new meaning, implying a life of leisure and recreation, not having an orgasm.

i dunno friends it's the future, it's gonna be weird. what do you think the hot new word on the block is gonna be?
