I think the khopesh looks neat, but I try to keep the amount of time I think about swords to a minimum. there's a real particular stripe of "white dude who is into swords" that I don't even want to get anywhere near being considered part of. |

Traditional Japanese sword fittings include some cool detachable pieces. the small collar between the guard and blade is obscured here but those are usually pretty cool. the guard itself, the matched miniature sculptures on each side of the handle under the wrappings, and the pommel are each pieces that'll get made in various shapes with various meanings. clearly who ever owned this sword loved cash money I always thought it would be cool to get an antique blade and make the metal pieces of the fitting myself out of like cast and finished brass. I like cranes a lot and my favorite historical samurai wore a crane crest so I'd go with those
