henlo and weclome to my blog for pics of astroturf yards i have found wandering around the wild urban streets of [city] that i live in

fopr my first entry i wanted to share with you a rare picture of an astroturf front lawn where nature has begun to reclaim the yard, a cute and funny juxtaposition of two forces for the pattern-seeking nature of your brain

a new pic will be coming TOMORROW stay tuned

Forget it Jake, it's cybertown.

When I first started browsing The Something Awful(tm) Forums dot Com I remember asking myself: "What am I doing?" I thought I was done here, but then I came across .bird's amazing thread in the BYOB subforum of the Main The Something Awful(tm) forum. Boy was I excited to see the hilarious and insightful content in there. If you want a good recommendation, I'd recommend .bird's wild astroturb sightings photography blog for all your content needs. Take it from me, an established The Something Awful(tm) forums user since 2020!!

astroturf for sports reasons makes some sense, since you can ensure it has consistent friction and level and stuff

astroturf front/back lawn is wack, thank you bird. for documenting this

i guess it's less wasteful than just plain turf grass though, maybe they're onto something in a weird way??

Although I've seen astroturf in sporting venues and on patios, decks, and porches, I've never seen it actually used in the wild. I can't imagine it would work at all for a variety of reasons.

The photo is definitely . . . not a good recommendation for the product.

Thanks to Manifisto for the sig!

I saw someone had hung their astroturf over their fence to dry today. I guess they washed it?

I hate to think of it, but I am sure somewhere there is a clause in a HOA rulebook about how often you have to vacuum your lawn.

Just chillin' : )
In Australia I am not sure I have ever seen an astroturf lawn (although now I will keep an eye out!) but you can buy spray paint for your dead lawn instead

Getting a fine from the HOA because your astroturf is too long.

Shag astroturf was removed from the approved lawn coverings list in 1979.
