First sealed for DMU: https://sealeddeck.tech/YbkxiUcUfD

Deck Draft

I could be fixating on the Ajani, Sleeper Agent creating a blind spot. Don't think I can go 5c with this fixing, curious if I should play tap lands for domain. Basically debating between GWu or GUw.

Got a second chance at sealed due to small bag during what would have likely been my third loss. I got a bunch of good stuff but having a hard time making cuts. I'm thinking GWB splashing for gold cards: https://sealeddeck.tech/9aELX9f6ao

I have 5 legendaries I could run, is there a point where that makes Hero's Heirloom worth running?

I have a much better feeling about this deck, lots of ways to win late, great amount of removal, high individual creature quality, lots of them too, and some excellent, excellent bombs. I'll have to wait to play this, looking forward to it, though.

Deck looks great and excited to see you pilot it. My only concern is surviving the early game but I have no idea what I'd cut. Yes Vineshaper and Snarespinner are lower quality cards but they do fill out your 2-drops and will benefit from, and activate, Defiler of Vigor. Having a hard time with determining what I'd cut though, I guess Juniper Order can be played for 2 in a pinch so you're probably fine.

Looking for deck building input and draft advice. Reviewing the draft there may have been a better Simic/Bant deck open on the board. I definitely drafted too many 3 drops which is making deck construction a challenge. In terms of a deck I think this Mardu version has more potential than pure Rakdos aggro. The game plan would be to go wide, get cheap Phalanxes and combo Lagomos/Aron for +1/+1 counter recursion. 17/6 creatures/spells, 2.7 curve, so maybe could cut to 16 lands?

My last trainwreck draft ended 2-3 which was more than I could hope for lol. Gone again and ended up in UW again but with a red splash this time. Thoughts?

Also, hidden at the bottom of the 2 drop slot is a Hero's Heirloom which I thought would be cute with Danitha, but really aught to be something else I suppose

Probably would be easier to post this to sealeddeck tech is that's something you're capable of doing. Someone suggested you'd like to have at least 3 legendary creatures to run Hero's Heirloom so you're probably fine to play it. Looks like you're game plan is primarily to win through the air. I think the problem you'll most likely face is surviving early to setup your win con. I would consider cutting Impede Momentum, Argivian Phalanx and Frostfall Strider for Essence Scatter, Impulse, and Clockwork Bridge.

Ah I've never tried sealed deck tech. Something like this? https://sealeddeck.tech/XPv20hk3W5

Tough call. I'd consider cutting Frostfist Strider for Love Song maybe? Hero's Heirloom may still be a consideration to cut even if it's playable, if you include it then Baird becomes more tempting to include with it as you have a way to activate him consistently. Deck might also just be more effective as a streamlined UW deck though.

Not happy with this draft but honestly don't know if there was a better lane to take, felt like a lot of the packs I was passed were just mediocre. Hoping thread will be willing to take a look and tell me what I missed.

Any ideas? It's red and something. White's too weak. Blue looks strong with Djinn and the bounce spells. Black weak but there's liliana, and green has some muscle. Either Izzet or Gruul.

Sealed is tough. I think you're right about it being Rx. I don't quite know how to use Liliana of the Veil effectively in limited. I slap together a RUb deck that looks alright: https://sealeddeck.tech/DaTDEpdxhr. Might consider Garna but I haven't played with them much.

Pool: https://sealeddeck.tech/MHdpkGGODA

Having a rough go the last few drafts and could use some input. I'm somewhat satisfied with the draft but wonder if I'm undervaluing tap lands or should have committed to two colours more. I'm struggling with brewing the deck, leaning towards GUb but I think a case can be made for UWb or 4c...

edit: Lands aren't right in screenshot, Imgur is being difficult so can't correct

p1p7: this would have been a good spot to take a land. bite down is good but not great, it's awkward in u/g because you don't have many cheap high power creatures, and you want be able to cast a 5 drop and bite down in the same turn

based on what we're seeing late in pack 1 it's pretty clear we need to abandon u/g. we're not seeing lands at all late, and a domain deck needs lands to function.

p2p4: we're seeing white signals and we're seeing blue signals, perfect time to change lanes and go with destroy evil. feels awful passing tatyova but if we make room for her our deck will either be too inconsistent or two weak when we don't draw her
p2p5: could have been take up the shield instead of a land
p3p6: could have been drake

i would have ended up in a streamlined u/w deck (which you still might be able to pull off). If you go with your domain build you're going to have high highs but also lots of draws where you don't do anything. you really should be playing clockwork librarian in that deck. when you have bad mana a colorless card that scries will do a lot of work keeping you alive and helping you hit your colors

Thanks so much Little Munchkin, very helpful suggestions! What do you think of this build: https://sealeddeck.tech/2yGp7FTMnB?

Qualifier Sealed Pool

https://sealeddeck.tech/R5J6VXww9A

Tough pool to crack, went through some brewing with Simon considering also Grixis for Sol'Kanar and Jeskai for Keldon Strike Teams and Lightning Strike as well. I think the deck wants to center around the 3 Tolarian Terrors as a win con if possible.

Great work to everyone helping out those of us trying to improve our draft event performance lately!

Draft: https://www.17lands.com/draft/0a713ad6676b41cc9212a1fce8591584
P1P2 - I know Espionage is the stronger card but I've seen so many wheel recently I felt I had a better chance securing it than Frostfist Strider
P1P4 - Debated between Lightning Strike and Geyser, I figured I'm likely at last splashing red based on Vodalian Mindsinger but Geyser was probably still the pick.
P1P7 - Figured land for Mindsinger kicker over Espionage which I felt I'd see again later in the draft. Maybe Keldon Strike Team but I feel like I want to be Boros Aggro to really leverage that.
P1P8 - Late Take Up Shield, took as a flyer in case white was open.
P1P9 - Figured Impulse and Destroy Evil around on par so go with one in my colours.
P1P12 - Was tempted to take a flyer on Charge but thought having fixing for Mindsinger and whatever else might be better.

P2P1 - I was swayed by the rare, Temporal Firestorm grades well but I think UR spells seems more aggro and less likely to leverage it well. Maybe Balduvian Besrserker, Ghitu Ampilifier, or Talas Lookout were better choices? Argivian Cavalier in case white is open?
P2P3 - Maybe Cleaving Skyrider? Doesn't grade well and seems pretty clear I'm UR at this point.

P3P2 - Thought this was a good pick up for Mindsinger kicker but maybe Strider?
P3P4 - Land or Picker over Amplifier? Seemed like we're UR spells aggro
P3P12 - Probably Picker over Strike Team but doubt I'm playing any of them

Pool: https://sealeddeck.tech/17lands/pool/0a713ad6676b41cc9212a1fce8591584
I'm thinking I'm full aggro so maybe cut Firestorm for Thrill of Possibility and go to 16 lands?

One other question I had was regarding saving up packs and set completion. My understanding is that the optimal approach is to save up until you have more packs than you do rares left to collect given some of the packs you open will be mythics or wildcards. I'm quickly running out of resources to draft the set and there is some temptation to crack the packs in the hope that I open some of the cards I want for constructed to save wildcards. Wondering if I'm better served being patient, playing cheaper decks and doing Jump In or whatever for dailies for now.

Librarians are your lowest impact creatures and we're still looking for cuts at this point. The deck smoothing off the scry is nice for this deck to keep finding more action since if you flood you're kinda honked. Too bad you didn't have those Phyrexian Espionages you refused to take.

Thank you for all the helpful input, definitely would have been nice to have those Espionages but guess I had to learn the hard way.
