Whole load of September goon birthdays (my 41st is on the 13th)- guess a whole load of our parents decided to bone down during the Christmas holidays. And personally I found turning 40 to be super easy. 30 was a bloody nightmare; I broke up with my then girlfriend, had an emotional collapse and drove the wrong way around the A406 from Leytonstone to Walthamstow to a friend’s house before smoking bad chemicals and writing a terrible song. My 40th I celebrated in my lovely house in the country with my wife and a load of friends I’d not seen since pre-lockdown, cooked an enormous amount of roast beef and salad and drank nearly a bottle of scotch. It’s also weird. Throughout my 30s people pegged my age as ten years younger than reality, but around 39 (coincidentally when I started really noticing the white hairs in my beard) I suddenly got hit with a decade of aging in a few months.

They beat one boy pretty badly so that boy's father went round the twins house and gave their dad a bit of a beating telling him to get his kids under control or he'd get more of the same. Some of the bullying stemmed off and they moved away about a year later. Not sure how effective the parenting was as one twin OD and another spent a lot of time in and out of prison.

This seems to be prevalent in societies with less welfare and more inequality. Which IMO is the root cause. Also why it's annoying when old conservatives comaplain about violent youths and vandalism, when they made society that way in the first place by voting conservative.

She got into a fight with babble (a good leftist) over it and came out of it having decided that because the left were mean to her, the entire political ideology has to be written off and they're all antisemitic unfortunately.
