My (Tory party member) father in law reduced my wife to tears when she said we were thinking about getting solar panels. He hates green energy, but is well up for nuclear. Apparently they are noisy! The battery won't last the whole day, so whats the point? The quotes we mentioned were a lot more than he had heard! God why won't the spiteful man die yet?

In think the whole "no collations" is an election ploy - people are more likely to vote for you if they want a government. Then when that fails, you can just be "Well, it's this or the Tories" Then promise an indy ref that needs to be 80% of every man woman and child living in Scotland plus every Englishperson within an hours drive of the border.

We just had a little bit of workplace improve Boris Johnson meets the queen. "Your majesty, I have come to tender my resignation as prime minister" "One accepts." Boris turns to go, only to find the way barred by a group of soldiers in dress uniform. "One regrets one is to frail to administer a beating, but one has no shortage of subjects willing to do it for one." "You can't do this!" screams Bojo as he's dragged before the throne. "One is the Queen, and one will be dead soon. One can do what she wishes!" Muffled sounds of a drat good thrashing. "Don't neglect the johnson. One wants to seem him squirm." Slightly higher pitched screams. Then there was a lot of grumbling about Truss.

I feel like I'm going to be very grateful over the next few years that we locked ours in a 2.85% for the next 10 years (of an 11 year mortgage). The BOE interest rate is now .1% below that! A quick google says we'd be paying an extra £100 a month to get the same deal now.

I'm not sure what will be worse for the Tories, a General election now, or a switch to a third PM of the year - sure some people will swing back to voting for them, but every time they screw up, less an less people are willing to support them. Their only real option for winning the next election is to go for someone like Penny Moudount (however you spell it ) who they can at least plaster the "new management" title on, rather than Sunak who gets the "Oh god, not this guy again" we've had.

So what, 8 or so bi elections? When the opposition has 50% in the polls? What could go wrong? I would also be amazing for those 8 people to get into the lords and Starmer actually abolish the gravy train. Fake Edit : An absolute power play for Liz would be to nominate Rishi and as many of his cabinet as she can to the lords. there are probably laws against it, but when has that stopped the Tories?

Stoke has huge amounts of brownfield sites from the collapse of the pottery industry, tons of poorly educated people and is on the M6 an hour from both Birmingham and Manchester.
