A couple months ago mum was sitting in the garden and saw a blur, heard a squeak, and the dog had absolutely murdered a rat that was trying to sneak along one of the flowerbeds. Just shot across, one shake, done. And then we had to spend half an hour trying to comfort the dog that no, in this specific instance, biting is okay and fine. She was sure she'd been bad.

This is her, just before a haircut, attempting to get my attention at 2am from my doorway. She can't come in here, you see, because the cat is a tyrant.
