What does one do as a parent or a friend of a parent for a child who has been beaten up by a group of 5 kids of a similar age by kids who have written an apology but then immediately gone out and done the same thing again to another kid?

Physically the child victim is ok, but mentally they are utterly hosed, life ruining, or at least child hood ruining ptsd I’m guessing. They are in therapy, but, they aren’t the same person anymore. The attackers parents don’t seem to give a poo poo. I’m very upset so I’d like the level headedness of people here to offer up any advice.

You will need to be able to undertake a walking tour of up to 2 hours at a moderate pace, with several stopping points. Some of the walking tours will include an indoor visit so the actual walking will be less than two hours in these sessions .
Abilitiy to access zoom is needed for the 1st and the final session.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
There will be an initial lecture/workshop to set the background scene for the period we will be studying, and the places where we will be walking. This will be followed by a series of walking tours focusing on specific issues, individuals and campaigns. On each tour you will receive an information handout summarising key points. Students will be encouraged to ask questions on the walks and raise discussion points. The final session on zoom will draw together the threads from the different walks to consolidate knowledge of protest movements in the capital and assess their successes and failures. No work is required outside of class although you will be directed to additional reading that you may wish to undertake.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
There are no additional costs. All visits are free. You will need to wear comfortable walking shoes, appropriate clothing for the likely temperature outdoors, an umbrella for days when the weather is less predictable and a bottle of water for refreshment. You may wish to bring a pen and notebook to take your own notes.

I think it's because there's been a successful propaganda effort over the last century or so to separate the things Capitalism leads to (overt corporate greed, profit at the expense of everything else, concentrated wealth, landlord price gouging, etc) from the system of Capitalism in the minds of most people, and to rebrand any alternative to Capitalism as insane nonsense where you're not allowed to own anything and you have to line up in the rain for your weekly ration of bread and cheese, then go home to your cold featureless-concrete-cube apartment and eat it in silence.

Saying the issue is Capitalism, to most people, implies "therefore we should live like you imagine things were in Soviet Russia, which you have interchangeably been told is Communism/Marxism/Socialism but was probably State Capitalism instead.", while actually people on the ground have had the same complaints for loving ages, they've just been trained to see them as separate unrelated issues which have to be tackled one at a time, very slowly.

Every house/building harvesting the power of the sun and basically being a source of power rather than just a drain seems like a Sensible Thing.
