This is literally the only time an AEW PPV has ever left a bad taste in my mouth. And no, it's not about Mox losing the title. It's about the fact that 1. I have always thought MJF is overrated, 2. I don't really care about CM Punk as a top face in 2022, 3. They just ran an all-time classic MJF/Punk program shortly before MJF left and I don't see any way this one is as good, especially given how recently it happened, and 4. I just know in my soul that what's gonna happen is MJF is gonna beat Punk for the title and then probably Hangman is gonna save the day, which I can understand the logic behind but it does nothing for me. Oh and 5. The Casino ladder match 100% telegraphed the entire main event and that loving sucked. So that Mox would actually be a two-time champ.

For the record I enjoyed the show, but I can say with probably about 80% certainty that the AEW title scene is entirely uninteresting to me for the foreseeable future and that's the first time that's happened in the history of AEW.
