went to the trouble of recording (awful) singing of L/R channels of overlapping internally rhyming phenomes (for instance, left ear "his fiscal policies were sharp my god that man was smart" / "his sociopathy and greed has torn this world apart") and I can convincingly pan between them, but, this really does not fit in with any of the other pieces, and now I am thinking "hmm if we did this again for Valentine's day I can just leave this reel on the morphagene and I've got a chorus and just need to add some truly awful guitar". We'll see if it makes it into this project, or not. If not I will post the WAV just to illustrate how terrible my singing is to anyone who missed my YouTube COVID songs. Also on that note, Youtube had done a takedown on my "Friends (With Sars-cov-2)" video which I appealed and they actually reinstated it  I have some choice reagan jokes loaded into a VST sampler along with a bunch of other samples, might just start with Loopman getting silly and then just have hard drums periodically muted for a joke. We'll see, whatever happens this will be more fun than working tomorrow, a thing I do not feel bad not doing because as I said I have been sick for a week and despite being very On The Mend I also have to take kiddo trick or treating tomorrow, and somehow figure out how to spike my hair to look like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes. Just some jokes and industrial-ish drums and a completely out of tune siren wailing sometimes. I learned a lot, I had fun, I can't wait to loving unpatch all this stuff and pull some loops off of tapes not involving Reagan. That said I still have a fuckin goldmine of samples I didn't use. edit: I guess I could still take mushrooms tonight. It's halloween. Sounds like a lovely work day tomorrow tho!! The Voice of Labor posted:instead of an album, the thread should throw together a sample cd. in some obsolete e-mu format I will be making 8 track recordings on Compact Flash with the 8 track I just bought from Petit Choux and offering CF drives for sale seriously, I am set up to dub tapes here, though I have to do them one at a time; I would be willing to make tapes at cost for everyone that submitted, and then cost plus a little for anyone else who wants them, where the "plus a little" goes into the pot for whatever the next one of these is. I'd need to source a bunch of blanks, and I can't print nice labels, but the actual replication wouldn't be that bad because my work desk is 3' from the tape deck and I could just keep stuff moving while I work, I rarely sit still for more than 40 mins anyway. edit: i could technically print nice labels, I have a laser printer and vinyl sticker sheets, but I don't have a template or anything and also that sounds like exacto knives and lovely work.

I don't want anyone to get banned over this silly poo poo if you toxx'd and for some reason can;t make a godawful VCV rack creation with the provided samples in the next 3 hours, at least email me at deconstructed@gmail.com with your sob story and I will probably send you an unban gift cert key if your reason is good and I think I'll skip the toxx if I do it again, I don't want this to be stressful for anyone, more than it needs to be

Okay, the sheet is updated and I will put up polls later today, I just want to give everyone a chance to make sure that the thing(s) I have listed next to you are your correct and final submissions. Pretty sure I got it all, though. We ended up with everyone making the deadline except Coolnezzz who I strongly wish the best to and support their efforts at being their best selves, and if they eat a ban on that toxx I will happily cover a re-reg gift code (deconstructed@gmail.com). We have 17 "Recognizable" submissions, as well as 3 "unrecognizable", I guess I have to do separate threads for voting in each because I do not believe there is a way to attach 2 poll questions to a single thread. But, that's okay, I cleared this with Azathoth and they said they would sticky it. What's a good voting period, 5 days? Full week? Tend to default to the latter, just to be sure to pick up weekday and weekend users (I think some people don't post on here 2.89 times per day for 18 years straight, fuckin weirdos!!) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1idQjd47aJx8yGQA7r3sRd6XWtT4CfjwyjA2gTTkyKHU so, total of $60 on the line -- $20 top voted recognizable, $20 top voted unrecognizable, $20 most votes overall. As we had zero submissions that came from people who didn't either toxx or submit in advance of the deadline, I think this just means someone is going to get $40. I think if you do it here it's fine because it's a tiny subset of people apt to vote on (stickied! i have been assurred!) cspam thread(s), and also once it's in CSPAM then  will apply no matter what guidelines I'd attempt.Also given the disparity in number of entries between the 2 categories I am inclined to split the "most votes" $20 10/10 int each category, more or less just turning it into a $30 pot on both sides. or 25 / 35 to recognize that winning the larger competition involved more, uh, competition.
