games are sick, and life is better with them in it. that said i took a break of nearly exactly ten years betwen january 2007 and december 2016 during which i did not play a video game

this massive freakout i credit partially to working in qa and partially to world of warcraft. i worked for ea during the prisoner of azkaban game, which was sick, and catwoman. as a white police officer held halle berry in a full nelson while two other white cops punched her in an alley, i decided i was moving overseas.

i then worked qa at creative assembly on medieval 2 total war and i hated it.

then i started playing wow. a week after the expansion was released i watched my epics become worthless in 2 levels, found out how many hours i'd been playing, and figured out that i had spent an average of 6 hours every single day logged on.

when i look back on it now it was like a trauma response the way i aggressively avoided video games. lol catwoman and wow gave me actual psychic damage. anyway the game i chose to catch me up in 2016 was witcher 3, and it was among the most fun i've had in my life.

i don't know how prisoner of azkaban holds up today, but if you ever play it in the future, think about the fact that i have north of 1500 hours played and haven't blown my loving head off yet lol

i was addicted to trying to get 25/40 people to follow a really basic pattern, failing repeatedly, and saving up all my dkp to buy things i wouldn't use because a paladin i didn't like really wanted it and i'd just disenchant it and send him a letter in game about what items i got. admitting to meth would be less embarrassing.
