So does the 14 Pro not have an Apple Watch-esque "night stand mode"? Seems like AoD is the perfect time for them to add some kind of nighttime info screen/clock instead of just turning the screen off entirely.

It does a thing like this for the 3D Portrait effect thing too. The background starts out black for a split second and fades in, while the cutout subject is visible immediately. It�s weirdly annoying.

Yeah, it seems like this, basically, but combined with apparently Apple had no desire to go for an Android-esque AOD experience where it�s just all black with a few choice features like clock+notification icons or whatever.

If you�re within like 8� of whatever you�re trying to focus on then yes absolutely. (Unless something is special about the 14 Pro that I�m not aware of.)

Yeah in my experience you can�t turn it down all the way on calls. I get that it�s somewhat illogical to want to do so but I wish you could, too.
