In games like this, where there are some bottomless pits, and others are not, I've mentally categorized the ones that 'kill' you as pits that either lead you in the wrong direction, or would take so long to get out that the bad guy would have won or gotten away. The ones you 'survive' are the ones that lead to progress towards your goal. Schrödinger's Pit, if you will. Also, I have discovered a new and interesting backlog of video to watch. So how does this end if you don't get Proto out? I mean, yes, Lilght recovers and repairs all the captured Bots, but without Proto in the way, Doesn't Wily escape?
