Most recently, the deputy governor of Qazvin, Abolhasan Kabiri, said that a citizen and paramilitary officer had been killed in unrest that rocked two cities in the northwestern province.

Any idea if they're targeting the seats of power with these protests? I think that's going to be necessary eventually to provoke a confrontation, otherwise just walking around the towns would peter out eventually without achieving much if anything.

That said I think the biggest limitation is the lack of free media there and the regime's attempts to cut off social media/internet. That said some stuff keeps getting out, this is from this night supposedly in Tehran. Though she does seem to be alone lol.

It's really difficult for me to get a good feeling of what's going on on the ground, but if the sorts of protests we've seen earlier are still going on, it's definitely a good sing. I don't think any regime, no matter how violent or coercive, can survive when the majority of the people are taking a stand against it.
