Something that has not been mentioned is the dynamic difficulty in this game. The more you die, the easier the game becomes. There are also instances that the game can get harder. In case anyone does not know the reference mentioned at 8:20, the soul in the butt is called "shirikodama." In terms of modern media, I can only recall seeing it referenced in Sekiro and Saranzanmai.

Interestingly, there is a glitch with the Striker which speeds up your movement and knife attacks. The glitch is heavily used in speedruns of this game.

The knife in the remake has been hinted to have durability, so QTEs like blocking the chainsaw attack with the knife will cost durability.

Speedrun strats for the section covered in the game is a bit interesting. Aside from run past everything, on the lift section where the red enemies jump onto your platform, if center yourself on the lift and look down at 45 degree angle, every shotgun shot will likely bounce all of the enemies off the platform. And then for the boss, a simple rocket launcher to the weak point is enough to complete the fight.

I forgot how Krauser sounds like, so when he first talks while he is offscreen, I thought you two were doing a bit. In terms of running out of ammo, I would say that RE4 has several moments where you can knife instead of shoot; Krauser is definitely one of those moments since if you can stun him near a corner, you can just knife him to death. There is a speedrun strat where you can position where he does his backflip near the wooden ledge (since Krauser always back flips after an attack), and with the ditman glitch, you can just knife so fast for the win whereas the normal knife speed makes so that you may have to do a QTE if you do not spam the knife attacks fast enough.
