Ottawa waived Zaitsev. Finally. Only way DJ's going to stop feeding him minutes is if he's no longer on the team.

They also waived Magnus Hellberg now that Talbot is back from injury. He seems like he'd be a really good pickup for any team needing a goalie. Outside of one .917 season, he's been above a .925 save percentage in the KHL for the past 5 years, and he looked good in the one game he got with the Sens this year. No clue why he hasn't had a real shot in the NHL yet.

Putting Wright in the AHL, a league full of seasoned professionals from up and down the ranks, will mean that the when Shane tries to dangle there is a reasonable likelihood Shane gets bodied, turns the puck over, and scored on. That is because he's playing against mid 20s players that have been around the block, played in JR or the NCAA it even touched the NHL. They aren't push overs that are also learning as they go. You also are going to have that AHL coaching staff screaming at Wright to make the simple plays and not turn the puck over because that's dangerous. The AHL is where you go to make bottom 6er PKing types. Not offensive dynamos.
