Even if Middle Gabby wasn’t knocking in a goal a game, his pressing and (for lack of better term) knitting the attack together has been invaluable.

The problem isn’t just missing Jesus, it’s that we only have two recognized strikers and that was one. Nketiah should do alright but he can’t play every game between January and March, even if you take FA Cup games off.

One obvious chance is to recall Balogun, another is to find another player who can also work on the wings because even before Smith-Rowe was banjaxed we needed depth there. Something like a Timothy Weah might fit the bill.

a striker with 6 goals in 66 games sounds like a waste of money. I'm more likely to want to try Martinelli up front or signing Sanogo again

I mean, his cousin Christopher Wreh did okay for a season or two before imploding his career...

Arsene would approve.

I sure hope long-term ligament damage doesn't affect a player who was dangerous in part because of his explosive acceleration! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine.

indeed to be clear I am hyped to see a young academy player doing well enough to get into the first team and taking his chance once he got it, not buying into the "new Ronaldo" bollocks

looking forward to how player transfers go now that the WC is over, should be a shitshow.

and its been a long enough break for me to have forgotten that both Leeds and Forest are back?

Having gone through the top 10 pages of posts and I've yet to see anything dedicated to non PL leagues in the FA. Does the FA Cup thread serve there or is posting about the majesty that is the Southern League Premier Division South tolerated here as well?
