heard about the discord name thing from pyf's iosm thread. whats with supposed modern tech things (like birdsite, or discord) being unable to deal with multiple same usernames(and other things)? like real life meat space gets that people can in fact have the same name , hell a single family at the same house, a grandparent, parent, and grandkid can all have the same name, and while thats confusing, its not system breaking.
