 Ghana is a country in Africa, this bit specifically:  Their football team are known as the Black Stars, named after the black star on their flag:  which is in turn derived from the Black Star Line, Marcus Garvey's pan-African anti-colonialist shipping company. Fairly loving cool thing to put on your flag and name your football team after if you ask me.
