Wipe out was okay, but I feel like it would of been better if it had involved a bit less driving and a bit more being a worm shooting at other worm. Haven't played any of them in a while, so maybe they added that small gameplay improvement in, in a patch or something.

The one on PS3 had Zone mode where you could play music off the hard drive and there would be visualizers for the music on the track. There were no enemies in that mode but your speed steadily increased and you would take damage if you hit the walls and when you hit certain speeds the visualizer would change. I was really good at one of the levels and managed to make it to I believe 28th on the leaderboard and my speed was somewhere in the supersonic range. I remember playing it on my mates ps2 when we came back from clubbing off our heads. The sense of speed with that soundtrack was amazing. A perfect combination.

F zero was also good but I couldn’t get into it for some reason Extreme G was also good but inferior I don’t own a ps4 but I’m kinda tempted to get one to play the latest wipeout collection once a year BallisticNG for pc is also great I tried Redout but I didn’t like the graphics style and it felt like I was driving on ice Alright thanks for listening everyone I’ll let you get back to your funeral

I had this controller which was perfect for Wipeout on the ps1. The Namco NeoCon It twisted in the middle and made cornering so much easier. Wish they'd make a new one.
