Heya, almost at the end in ScaVio, been avoiding the thread because of spoilers but besides legendaries and Paradox mons I think I've seen all the new ones. It's been a blast, if they fixed the performance absolutely the best Pokemon game yet.

Now I have to build a Team for the E4 and others and man, it's hard to choose from only the new mons. I wanna bring Skelledirge, Clodsire and Brexcalibur for sure. I love Lokix but Bug/Dark has some serious overlap with Skelledirge, and I know I need a Fighting type, but Annihilape overlaps, Pawmot is a no and WaterTauros haven't found one in the wild yet. Maybe one of the Treasure Legendaries is a good option...?

One thing worth keeping in mind is that these games do let you access your boxes between Elite Four fights, so if you have a bigger team of favourites than you can use at one time, the option's there. Only the ones in your party at the end get the ribbon for it, though.

Why did you tell me that, now I gotta level 40 pokemon to early 60s, thanks a lot /s /s

I'd still like to have a balanced team for any non typed challenges anyways.

Raids and random teras have been dusty old Pokemon so Teraing would be more to remove secondary typings which tbf can cover defensive gaps.

Thinking about adding Kilowattrel, Paldean Water Tauros and Kingambit as my final 3, kinda iffy to only have 1 Ground and Psychic resists but at least they're inmunities.

I've liked them from what I've used mine, but the lack of anything to hit Ground types besides Hurricane (which is iffy with no rain) bothers me. There's not many Grass types though, only Toadscruel, Arboliv and Scovillein (all who either copy type or is not very llamative in the case of Arboliv)

Also went catch a Tauros and spent 10 minutes trying to find the Water breed and getting pingponged between them 10/10 would cause a protest.

Haha, very funny game. Not only did I not realize the E4 are the types of the Titans since they needed specialists of each type, not only did I get bamboozled by Larry despite having been spoiled, but also turns out the Super Champion is not a Rock type specialist!?

I still pushed through with the team, but man, I'm seeing the problems with Clodsire now. Also the fact tgat this gen is filled with lots of new Fire and Ghost types but barely any grass types kicked me for my starter choice.

Finally finished the game. Absolutely the best story in a while since BW but I can see someone who has no feelings for the main trio would think otherwise.

Now I have the gym rematches. At what level are they? Thinking of using endgame Chanseys to build tailored teams again, and also getting the chance to use Paradox mons.

Two more questions. Is there someone to sell treasures or can you just sell them at the shop? And what's the best way to farm money to make your friends comp viable from the getgo?

Also outbreaks, found a bunch of them before the Psychic Gym.

I just found out 6 and 7 star raids don't appear until you beat a school tournament so drat I gotta level my mons fast of I wanna try out with different teams each if I don't wanna miss the Charizard.

I find it also funny how money went from being useless to letting you ingame P2W, enough cash and you can turn any mon into competitive, besides HA and reducing EVs because the drat berries are random in the action.

Quick question, are there any specific areas good for EV training with power Items, and is Chansey Murder still the best way to level to 100? Since I've seen the best mon for the Charizard raid is Azumarrill and also Sylveon is good for money grinding at the tournament...

Man, it's kinda wild that now, as long has the correct ability since that's the hardest thing to change, you can pretty much turn any Pokemon into competitive viable just by paying 640k money (520k for vitamins, 100k for 5 bottlecaps, 20k for mint) and getting them to 50. Since GF refuses to change how IVs work this is the next best thing.

Instead of trashing our old partners and doing 3h of eugenic crimes, we can just load them full of steroids vitamin supplements and food and they'll be ready to go.

I'm really wondering if raids are really the ideal path to levelling right now. To 100, sure, but they only give like 1 XL and 5 L candies which are a few levels on 1 mon but between the glitchiness of raids and trying to find them and complete them it feels it'd be better for me to farm Chanseys at endgame using the Normal Encounter which makes them spawn a lot.

Well, I wanted to try out Paradox/More new mons on the rematches so yeah I need to level a lot of mons.

But in just 30 min I got enough mons for 2 gyms. Just a bit more to clear the rematches, try out a new team for my first Tournament and then level ASAP a Tera Fairy Azumarril/Flutter Mane for the Charizard raid before it leaves. Granted with the lv 100 requirement I'm gonna need to do a lot of raids...

Sylveon is also great for mindless academy farming, with maxed out Sp. Att and enoguh Speed EVs to outspeed Meowscarada it one shots everything with Hyper Voice which has a fast animation to boot.

Honestly the world surprised me. Even after finishing the game I still find nooks and crannies I didn't notice the first time around. All I say it's missing is a bit more unique rewards? TMs end up feeling like you've got then twenty times after a while. Maybe some evolved but on level Pokemon, or rarer ones in fixed spots.

By the way, I've noticed something about auctions. If you make an initial bid NPCs will start raking up the price but if you pass on the first bid they will just do 500 increases? Or so it felt to me, the weak point is if you pass when a NPC gives up you lose.

Yeah, ingridients have different tastes, powers and types assigned to them all which factor into the power of the sandwich. So more ingridients==better effects. But ouside of using Herba Mystica (farmed from 5* raids and up) you'd need multiplayer for that.

People have pretty much settled on 2 ingredients I can't remember + 3 of the type you want + 2 HM, which gives you Sparkling (more Shinies), Enounter and Title Lv3 for a single type.
