craved havin a cup of that sweet sweet bean juice, As One Does texted her cause i knew she was coming home from work soon and she says “no that’s alright, make yourself some though” so i get up, make a cup (xl travel size-sized mug, bc i know what im about) she gets home and comes in, sees me sipping, asks to have one stares at me for a moment after sipping “i made a mistake” i have to go make myself another cup of coffee now. 😒

These specifically were french press. normally im lazy and do drip, i use a burr grinder for either with whole beans from a local roastery.

French press and drip both own op. I haven't been home brewing lately but I like using an aeropress. I think if I got back in the game I'd just use a Hario though.

It's extremely consistent and very easy to brew and clean up. It's just immersion coffee, it's not magic or anything, it's just a lot of little annoying issues sanded off the french press experience.

I have an aeropress and a tiny 4-cup mr coffee and a bigger 12-cup percolator I dunno if the grounds I have are the right grind for the aeropress so I may play it safe and just use the mr coffee

sb hermit posted:I have an aeropress and a tiny 4-cup mr coffee and a bigger 12-cup percolator some notes but please do what brings you your bliss - percolators are notoriously not good at making coffee, - buying whole beans is pivotal. if you grind them as close to brew time as possible, it will be a night and day difference in flavor and freshness. - if you do above, you can get a burr grinder that will do appropriate grind for the amt of cups you are brewing and the brew method style. i encourage this, it is nice and makes u feel good. but of course, these are just things that helped Me. I am eager to hear how your coffee adventure progresses. also how your wife adventure progresses.

I can never get anything consistent. Getting them pre-ground seems to work for me to get consistently good (to me) coffee with minimum effort. If I have a lot of time next year, I might try to grind coffee again. I know someone who was a barista in a previous life so I may hit her up for tips. If I get the right coffee for the aeropress, it's always very good!
