I ate turkey liver for the first time today. Was on the phone to my American cousins telling them I was frying up turkey gizzard, heart and liver to give to the dog. She said "Oh, I used to love having that on toast when I was a kid."

I sliced the liver up and had it on top of toast with dijon, butter and salt. It was actually quite good.

A turkey liver is surprisingly small - about the size of two golfballs.
