I think it was a wild challenge but given the IIHF's real strict rules adherence sometimes, I can see it. Otherwise just skate rear end-backwards into the goalie on a breakaway like I used to do in NHLPA 96. Canada's lovely defense will surely cost them another legitimate goal before the period is out.

I don't know how/if the IIHF rulebook differs on goalie interference though so maybe their call makes sense according to the rulebook they have
