The PA can end the doctors contracts with the league as those require both to approve. That's how the neurologist in Tua's first totally not a concussion case got fired. Requires the PA to do things though.

Then why does the Chargers doc who stabbed Tyrod's lung still have a job?

I posted this on NFL reddit earlier this year (I blame alcohol for this terrible lapse in judgement) and was surprised to get loving dogpiled. Chargers medical staff stan was not a genre of poster I expected to exist. "Bro it was just an accident, anyone could have done it, are you cool getting fired every time you make a mistake at work too bro?" Idk I feel like there is a wide gulf between bringing someone the wrong check at Chili's or making the button on their website blue instead of green and almost killing them

Of all the NFL groups to defend, Chargers medical staff is the one I'd least likely predict. Unless they're a fan of another AFCW team I guess.

The tanking stuff is especially entertaining with half the bad teams already trading their first round picks to good teams.

One of the more minor reasons Broncos/Rams was so fascinating. Two eliminated teams with nothing to play for, and neither even has a pick to tank for!

...Not that most players of a team even give a poo poo about where their team picks. They want to win and/or play and/or get paid. Why should a backup linebacker getting their one shot to play who may not even be with the team next year give a poo poo whether the team gets the #4 or #5 pick depending on if they win today?

I'm fine with the Jags winning the division if the Texans beat both the Jags and the Colts, not even because I want them to miss the #1 pick, but because it'd be hilarious that the 4-12-1 Texans would end up having the best record within the AFC South.

I know Carr's not been the best but Jarrett Stidham is clearly not the answer.

I'll laugh if McDaniels scares off Carr. You know, unless it's all a ploy to get Carr (and Adams) to join the Patriots...

Weirdly the Cowboys game has zero effect on Tennessee's playoff chances, so might as well rest everyone.

Sucks we'll probably lose our winning season streak, but oh well.

We have a slightly used Malik Willis that McDaniels would surely love to mold into a superstar...

e: Davante Adams would have to be included though, we already have Derek Carr At Home.

I'm not gonna write off Malik yet, guy was always a project and he has basically nothing to work with since we're got few playmakers to pass catches (if only we had a stud WR to bail Malik out :v:) and one of the worst O-Lines in the league, plus an OC who thinks he's much smarter than he actually is. Even with Tannehill the highest score the Titans have had is 27 points, and a lot of our points come from scripted plays early in the game, key defensive and special teams plays, and Henry being Derrick loving Henry.

Guy's still raw as hell and isn't ready to start, but he's also in one of the worst possible situations for any rookie QB to succeed.

What even is this game tonight.....

A game between a team that's essentially locked in at the 5 seed and a team whose playoff chances aren't affected at all by this game.

So yeah, peak TNF.

I mean, you gave up 51 points to a 4-win team on their third QB, you had four turnovers, your first-year head coach got fired before the end of the season, and you got blasted in front of millions by a cartoon starfish.

I would loving hope you would do better next week, because it's certainly hard to do worse!

Barkley I can understand, kind of a risk between his injury history and being a RB in the modern NFL, but he does have much higher upside than most other RBs that he's worth the risk.

Daniel Jones though, lol lmao

Yeah, if they really wanted high stakes they would've had Tits/Jags for SNF, but then again who gives a poo poo about Tits/Jags, Saturday night is the perfect time to decide the AFC South (since we can't do it on Thursday).

Also funny because we already had Packers/Lions as the last SNF game back in 2016 (albeit in Detroit that time).

Anyway I think we all know the Seahawks will lose and the Lions will blow it, might as well have their final humiliation on primetime.

It means the NFL expects the Seahawks to take care of business, and that they think the Lions will play to win regardless of whether or not it gets them into the playoffs.

Given how they've been doing under Campbell, and given how lifeless the Rams have looked this season, I think both are pretty safe gambles to make.

Did you miss the game where they scored 51 points a week ago?

They're still bad and missing key players but aren't necessarily lifeless with Baker at WB, plus Seahawks/Rams games are always weird as hell so who knows what will happen.
