I feel like the best bet overall is somehow getting Abema to offer an international paid product, they have the infrastructure, it's all technically already set up and functional, they just need to agree to take my money.

The NHK feed is so much superior and its genuinely painful how hard it is to get a hold of. That's cuz you're seeing bad rebroadcasts at like 540p or whatever, go find a working Japanese VPN and look at the actual Abema feed. You can get an NHK feed with IPTV services, but they don't support switching over to the English broadcast unfortunately. Brut fucked around with this message at 15:01 on Jan 25, 2023 |

I guess now that I'm looking at it in more detail (and not quite as sleep deprived), it appears the actual manufacturer is "Re-Ment" which is a Japanese toy manufacturer, so theoretically you'd be able to find their products in various stores that carry Japanese products, Jellybeet is just the first one that came up that appears to have these in stock. Seems like Re-Ment use the blind box model quite frequently for a variety of their product lines.

I don't know if they actually sell full sets or if you'll just have to buy enough blind boxes to get lucky, assuming you can even find it in stores. If you're there long enough and/or have a local contact I'd maybe check Yahoo Auctions as people seem to use that a lot there instead of ebay.

I do not know if he is still at risk of receiving a third strike despite all the videos being private.

Like 99% of the time I hear about Telegram it's from Russian-speaking communities, there's Russian DOTA streamers that have their own groups set up basically instead of Discord servers, and I think my mom is in a bunch of groups that share coupons and like fashion advice or something along those lines. Each server/group is completely isolated from the rest so it's not like you're gonna get exposed to nazis/isis by accessing a Sumo-related one. That being said, that still sounds like a pain in the rear end just to watch videos, I was hoping he'd just keep making new channels, since his monetization is off-site anyway. Hokutofuji is always fun to watch, I'm assuming Tobizaru counts as a fan favorite so I can't pick him. hmmm, I enjoyed Yago's matches a lot while he was coming up through Juryo, before he got injured so much it took him not only back down to Juryo, but now down to Makushita.

At the end of the day none of what he's saying has gently caress all to do with what we actually want, we just want to see the matches, all the matches. Is there a legal way for me to do that? No. If there was, I'd use it. Like he's talking about sumo "reporting" and all that stuff but none of that is what was actually getting hit here, nobody's getting copyright strikes because they're simply talking about Sumo.
