Isekai does come into play majorly (not in a bad way) in the future but I don't think this season will cover it.

It's why I thought the anime would end with Algard, Volume 3 needed at least half a series to explore everyone's emotional arcs. On the other hand, Euphie only becomes a proper character in Volume 3 too, and ending on Algard completely removes it, so I'm not sure what they could have done. This needed 2 seasons.
