Your line art and clean work is super satisfying to look at.
Makes me want to try hard round, no size change, final destination.

Thanks a lot! I can only recommend it, honestly.

I started doing fixed width brushes forever ago because I kept getting lost in trying to get the line weight right in addition to the shape. Erasing that problem let me concentrate on what's important. I also had really thick lines for a long while, which forces you to really figure out how to make every line count and how to imply a lot of detail.

More recently I've gone back to reducing the line width again, and using it with a 20% opacity so I can also add some shading and weight with overlaps, as seen here:

It ends up looking really pleasing, at least to me, while remaining really fast to produce.

I just tried it in my last post and its easier to control line width with an eraser than pressure.
I will try out your technique.again tomorrow, i had fun. Wilm try setting fixed opacity too.

If it helps, here's a recent-ish art stream mine, to give you an idea of how I work with it:

Its pretty good.

Took me over a decade to realize to just draw for the enjoyment of it and not give a drat about the bad parts as everything you make will be repulsive to you anyway. Just do it for the pleasure of it and spend more time constructing,.comparing to reference than doing the final painting/lineart.

Art is like painting a car, unless you spend most of the the time removing paint, fixing dents, degreasing, masking and otherwise prepping the surface, your result is not going to be as good as it could.
Giving up is the only way to gurantee never improving and taking breaks is fine. I just took almost a 10 year break for example.

I appreciate the encouragement and I was totally kidding on quitting. Mostly, staring at Guilliani for hours will break any man's soul

Modified the sketching brush a bit by making it spray and tweaking it's pressure so it has 3 distinct opacities separated by a gap in pressure. It's pretty good to use
