Might have been able to pull out that first mission, if you hadn't given the AC/20 to somebody that can't shoot. The TBT build you accidentally made (it is supposed to have 2xLRM15, you can cram 2xLRM20 in there if you ditch all other weapons) might be pretty good. The standard one is a wee bit fragile.

Lot of the missions, the salvage was worth less than the extra pay you'd have gotten by taking less salvage. 1 guaranteed share is probably enough to get anything that's really worth getting on these lower-level missions, I think.

The objective text and strange double-dropship event makes me think the Comstar mission was bugged and you were only supposed to be fighting one Com Guard lance. Which you might have been able to handle. I was hoping you'd decide to use the AC/20 at the end, and that's going to be a rather formidable fighter.

(In Which the AC20++ Orion murders things) Things go very well today, and the salvage and cash pours in - then goes right out again as I start the last major upgrade. The fact we get several new heavy mechs this update pushes us up a good level in combat effectiveness.

I had the same reaction you did when the Cronus showed up. Never heard of that Battlemech before. That's a nasty Archer, though it might be worth replacing the other ML with a heat sink. If there's somebody close enough to be worth using a ML on, they're probably in punching distance, and that monster runs hot. Pairing it with the anti-stability UAC/5 (which generally is close to as good damage-wise as an AC/10) is a really mean thing to do. I noticed a thing called an "exchanger" in the store, which might be worth using. Or not, I'm not sure what it does, but it appears to do something with heat.

Exchangers lower total heat gain by something like 10-20%. They're superb equipment to put in any extremely hot mechs since the more heat your mech can gain, the more effective they get, if you can get your total heat to a specific value they are straight up better than putting in more Double Heatsinks for the tonnage.
