I posted a bit about this movie a while back in the action movie thread. First it was called Project X, then SNAFU and now Hidden Strike. It was filmed in 2018 and then just got shelved for unknown reasons.

The news about the release came from Pilou Asbæk (who is also in the movie) randomly tweeted in february that he had been told the movie was coming to netflix in the summer. He said that he couldn't remember exactly when they filmed it and he had no idea if it was any good because nobody had shown him the final cut. They filmed a bunch of it in China so maybe something got caught up in the red tape of the chinese movie industry.

muscles like this! posted:IIRC there was also the rumor going around about him refusing to show up in Shazam 2 even though the first movie's success was pretty much the only reason Black Adam got out of development hell. I think it was basically just The Dwayne thinking that Black Adam is a serious character and he can't fight a goofy guy like Shazam while still being a cool guy.
