Newly minted seal thread, I need your help. I've been trying to find a seal video. I think it's BBC. Older guy, not David Attenborough, around many large seals sunning themselves on a beach, and as he's talking about them, one of the seals comes over and pretty much flops on top of him, like "I'll keep you warm, strangely shaped fur-free seal." Another seal comes to join them and I think just flops down next to them. The guy is just ecstatic. It is the most adorable clip ever, and for the life of me I have not been able to find it ever since I saw it.

Shoebert is a celebrity seal that visited my hometown last year. I was lucky enough to visit him in his pond a couple of weeks before he turned himself into the police. It was such a fun experience for the whole city. The office park where he visited turned the surveillance footage into a video with mission impossible as the soundtrack. these are my coworkers, Casey, Barney and Hogan (nearest to farthest). Barney is one of the oldest harbor seals to have ever lived- he's 38 fuckin years old! For reference, the average lifespan of a harbor seal is about 16-18 years. They get into some dumb poo poo, especially in the summer when Casey and Hogan's hormone levels are skyrocketing. The two will spar with one another, and Barney, being the blind old man that he is, sometimes wanders between the two and gets turned into a seal sandwich.
