I tried to fill the layton shaped void in my heart by buying some games in the steam mystery sale (tangle tower/jenny leclue) but no one can replace him...It seems like there should be more Layton clones since you could buy one of those big books of puzzles/riddles and modify those for 90% of your puzzles But I am enjoying the time travel visual novel "The Sekimeiya: Spun Glass" which I also bought in the sale

I played a layton game in January, featuring prof layton's niece or sister or daughter or something, and tbh, the puzzle to dialogue ratio was really low and it quickly got very boring !!
