Mostly used for shitposting afaik. SFM stands for Source Filmmaker, which I'd assume is most commonly used since it's on Steam and free. Every scene could be 75% shorter if they just cut to characters having arrived wherever they say they're going. There's no reason we need to actually follow the general's slow rear end walk from the barracks to the lift to the hallway to the laboratory, especially since there's no dialogue and just the sounds of Quake stuff going on. Scenes fade to black and amusingly keep going for a full minute... I suppose these are all problems from running this whole production directly from Quake. I suspect some of the scenes take so long to end because it can't transition until a sound loop ends? This is a 38 minute movie if someone just edited out everything that doesn't need to be there.

drat, I made some animations with DeluxePaintIV on an Amiga back in 93'. I have them on a floppy disk but there's nothing that will read the file format now. One was a guy jumping a 3 wheeler over 3 cars but messing up the landing and rolling over a bunch of times while getting mangled up.
