This website is large but not so large that the mods are out of reach. They're around and are supposed to engage with people. The paid admission does mean people have more of a stake in the um "well being" I guess of their account, too. Every once in awhile my mom will tell me about the kind of stuff she sees on genealogy forums/Facebook groups for like, people descended from original Mayflower pilgrims and it is absolutely bugfuck insane. Like we’re used to it here but there’s nothing like an irl Karen being told that no, the genealogy proves that you did not have an ancestor on the mayflower and also no you are not related to fuckin Pocahontas.
