The fourth AND FINAL season of HBO's Murdochian media empire family saga premieres on Sunday March 26th. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3D3ewle7XY A quick season 3 recap: the Roy children largely spent the season pissing off their father, tyrannical patriarch and terrible man Logan Roy (Brian Cox), even further. Eldest son Kendall (Jeremy Strong), after turning against Logan in the s2 finale, failed miserably in his attempt to bring him down and sank further into depression. Daughter Shiv (Sarah Snook) tried to throw her weight around in the family company, Waystar RoyCo, but merely learned how little respect anyone had for her and made a deal with potential usurpers while Logan was piss-mad that he was extremely unhappy with. Youngest son Roman (Kieran Culkin), after remaining in Logan's good graces and brokering a deal with Elon-esque streaming CEO Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård), poo poo the bed spectacularly by accidentally sending his dad a dick pic meant for Waystar executive Gerri Kellman (J. Smith-Cameron). And that's all of Logan's kids, there definitely isn't another, older so-OH WAIT Connor (Alan Ruck) continued to be useless and attempt to gain any support whatsoever for his stupid Presidential bid, as well as get engaged to his much younger girlfriend, ex-escort Willa (Justine Lupe). Meanwhile, Shiv's husband Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) offered to take the fall and go to prison if Kendall's antics had proven successful and then spent forever stressing about it while continuing to be cucked severely by his wife and continuing his bizarre erotic partnership with everyone's favourite cousin Greg Hirsch (Nicholas Braun), who continued his own slide into moral depravity by planning to sue Greenpeace to reclaim his inheritance and haphazardly juggling two potential romantic partners. The climax of all this was that Logan decided to allow Matsson to purchase Waystar rather than the opposite, leading to the three important siblings banding together to use their veto power over any change in the company's control to stop a deal that would leave them out in the cold. However, they are scuppered after Tom finally betrays his wife and informs Logan, who renegotiates his divorce settlement with their mother Caroline (Harriet Walter) to remove their voting power. What a bloody bunch of rotters! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWlURhM5P5Q We only have ten episodes left before this all-time great show is over, and I have so many questions! Will Waystar be sold to Matsson? Will the siblings remain united? Will Tom and Shiv survive the former's betrayal? Will Roman ever have sex with anything? Will Connor manage to poll above 1%? Will Willa write a play that doesn't suck? Will Greg walk into a doorframe or ceiling beam? Will this show go out on a high? Find out in just two short days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_AbzFADBEc OP done, now gently caress off.

I think I've managed to feel sorry for all these awful people at some point except Shiv. I'm still waiting on her to show a genuine emotion outside of being upset she got hosed while loving someone over.

Can’t wait to see what depraved poo poo Roman does this season and whatever tortured masochism Kendall inflicts upon himself and everyone else

Everyone else was given some sort of task and failed horribly (even if it was just doing the status quo like Roman and the rocket launch) but I can’t remember her having a ‘chance’ at something. Either way you’re still right though. Yeah it’s a man’s world and you got passed over but you’re taking private jets while complaining about equality bicht

lol again at that time Kendall was trying to make a big statement how he was so supportive of women by blasting "Rape Me" over the speakers during the big shareholder meeting

Perhaps my favorite moment ever in this show was late in season 1 when Kendall tells the other ("important") siblings that he's facilitating a hostile takeover of the company and assures them they'll be fine since they'll all make a huge amount of money out of it, and they just throw aside all pretense and complain that he knows as well as they do that without the reflected power and influence of their father they are NOTHING. They know that nobody likes them, that they don't have anything to offer, any marketable skills, they're just "Logan's kids". Kendall got a taste of that when he tried to take his own fortune and become a private investor in various startups and learned that just having a shitload of money doesn't immediately make you wanted. Shiv, ironically, made the most successful career out of the three outside of the immediate company umbrella but even then it was heavily implied that her surname was what opened most of the doors for her, and that she was chosen as a campaign manager as much for the PR win it gave the candidate to "turn" one of Logan Roy's kids against him as for any talent she had. But she threw even that all away when she let herself believe her dad stringing her along with the same succession lies he'd strung Kendall along with for all those years. There's really no going back for her now, once she returned to the company embrace she burned her bridges.

I just read this post, then saw they are marathoning the show in preparation for the S4 premiere, switched to that channel, and I swear to God it was this exact scene.

So glad we get to see the Pierce family again. Absolutely hilarious to see the mirror image of the Roys is just as awful but in their own special way.

Predictions: Logan will finally kick the bucket, and early on in the season too. What's the over and under on whether we hear about Marcia's sudden son again? (It was her and Logan's kid, yeah? Or did I make that part up?) Rupert Buttermilk posted:I think Roman will finally gently caress Geri. I dunno, he had mad chemistry with the fascist congressman.

Carrying on from last thread, I think Strong does sound exhausting but hey, he gets results and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of him being a jerk to be around outside of the professional environment. Like yeah, sometimes artists can be assholes when they’re in the throes of what they’re doing, that’s just how it is. It’s the cost of doing business but as long as he’s fine outside of that then that’s chill E: also I can’t wait to hear that opening theme again. Makes me want to get in the back seat of a black SUV and stare out the window looking miserable while plotting and taking Valium

Shiv was given some semi-executive position and discounted at every turn while with the company. Also, she was giddy to be part of the "picking the next president" party but contradicted her father at every turn, negating her sole professional field of expertise in his eyes. The Roy children are relegated to "tell me what I want to hear" consultants, one of the lowest forms of life, even if the salary's nice.

Their relationship has been one of the highlights of the series for me. I remember in an earlier season were Tom says to Shiv something like "I wonder if the sadness I'd feel without you would be greater than the sadness I feel with you" which also hit me in the feels really hard.
