I got home from my morning shift at the grocery store and my mom was listening to the news on the radio and said “a plane crashed into the world trade center” and I had no idea what that was an just pictured it as some Cesna hitting a house sized building or something. Then at school it was on all the TVs and when both towers collapsed kids started talking about how each tower had its own zip code and that meant that 50k people just died. Then after school I went back to work and I remember lines at the gas station and talking about war while stocking the Brawny paper towels.
