the cursor has been with us for a long time now and is an important part of games. some companies even used cursors as a way to make money and fund game development. others have made simple games celebrating the cursor and even included it as an item. wow! you might think first of pc games and the mouse cursor, but a cursor isn't always controlled by a mouse and might not even use "open world free roam" style movement. console gamers may recognize the "menu item selection carat" as a cursor. what is not a cursor? Crosshairs are there own category and won't be part of this thread. many players, especially those who care about AAA graphics and epic story content, may not even think about the cursor despite it being on screen most of the time and in charge of communicating vital information, especially in the top categories of:
Alright , lets see some cursors To start off we have two different approaches from the main types of computer. these are used by default when the game doesnt have a custom cursor Mac is black  and Windows has the white cursor  but most things have their own unique cursor to fit in with the theme. Nesticle is certainly top tier  Final Fantasy of course  <- from ff6 speficiallywhat are your most classic cursors? do you have a favorite default cursor (e.g., mac "spinny rainbow") ? ----------------

my brother downloaded a doom cursor pack for windows 95 and changed the default windows pointer on our family pc to this exploding doom guy cursor my mom got annoyed at us because she couldn’t figure out where she was clicking any more so he had to change it back the next day

I always found the WC3 armored glove cursor was too chunky and did not have good click feel. They perfected it in WoW tho

If you click in myst 4 over something you can't interact with the hand-cursor taps on it and it makes a sound based on if its made of glass or metal or wood or whatever.
