If I am recalling ti correctly they've generally lost their top line forwards and D in each of the past 3-4 seasons in Round 1? Feels like it at least. Winnipeg made the conference finals 5 years ago and swept the 105-points-in-a-shortened-season Connor McDavid Oilers 2 years ago. They're 3-5 in playoff series in their current incarnation.

I honestly want ties back. Keep the 5 minute OT, but no points for the loser. It would eliminate the lame playing for a point late in tie games, and teams skating around passing in circles all OT waiting for the perfect chance without losing possession.
