Ooof. I'll usually reroll a little bit to get a character I really want, but that is a bit much. I guess I'll just have to play as God intended -- with a heavy heart, and an empty wallet.

What's the deal with these floating robots and the memory bubbles?

For Memory Bubbles I've got that if you try to touch them they say something like "find someone who knows about them." If you talk to Herta standing near the train platform she enables the option to touch them. But after touching a bubble the screen just spits out a wall of text on a black background and I've been either too stoned to read them or too tired to care. There doesn't seem like there's a menu to track these bubbles but I'm sure there must be?

There are also those floating robot things that let you force a shutdown and then they do nothing. Haven't figured out what they're for either.

If you keep deactivating the robots, eventually you'll trigger the next step. For the bubbles, I don't know of any way to track them, unfortunately. The writing around those is pretty great though.

I was completely flabbergasted at people talking about how easy they found world 4. The boss there is absolutely murderous unless you have some pretty intense DPS, with his last phase seemingly 100% designed to punish turtle strats. First time I went in to him with a mediocre blessing build I got absolutely flattened, and second time I squeaked by narrowly because he decided to grab Bailu 3 times in a row and completely lock out my healing for the entirety of phase 3.

God tier blessing synergy makes things very easy, and mediocre/bad blessings makes things borderline impossible.

Serval + Fire MC + Nihility tree made easy work of it. If you get the blessing that prevents DoTs from falling off, you pretty much auto win because stacks are preserved between phase transitions. By turn two you'll likely have 99 stacks and every time he takes a turn he'll lose like 25% of his hp, likewise for all the adds that get summoned.

I think it's worth doing a few pulls on the Jing Yuan banner even if you're not very interested in him just to get a Tingyun and/or Sushang. Tingyun rivals 5*s despite being a 4* and will only make your future 5* DPS better.

Team building and composition really comes down to the specific content you're doing and the weaknesses of the enemies you're facing. For just general running around you can pretty much do whatever you like. For Simulated Universe and Forgotten Hall, you'll want to change your team(s) up quite a bit.

I did 5-2 for the first time and won. Went full Nihilism*, which was pretty fun. My character damage was low, but the boss was taking like 10+% of her HP in DoT damage per turn by the third round (due to that one stacking Nihilism debuff). Survival was also greatly aided by the "split damage among everyone" blessing + "reduced damage to shielded characters" + "reduced damage to characters at full health" (Bailu's Talent is great for this). The boss just couldn't do much damage to me, and March + Fire MC (I had the "30% chance to remove debuffs on shielding a character" blessing) had an easy time removing her debuff. Welt was also good at damaging/delaying her and stripping her shield.

* Still only got 9 Nihilism blessings though, even with multiple blessing rerolls seeking them out - I have no idea how some of you guys always seem to have like 13-15 all from the same Path, since I usually encounter a bunch of choices where there simply aren't any blessings from my chosen path.

Congrats! Nihilism is real good and tied with Hunt for my favorite.

For number of blessings it's mostly just luck. Sometimes you just get hosed and you just deal with it. Most people aren't posting their merely average runs so there's a bit of a bias when comparing yourself to what you see people sharing. That said, you eventually learn which options to take if you need more blessings. For example, a 'Combat' will always give you a blessing, whereas an 'Occurrence' might not.

It's also competing for pull currency against: a top tier support character (Silver Wolf), a healer that a lot of people probably want/need (Luocha), and soon thereafter, Kafka (Kafka). Not a lot of people, outside the whales, want to be spending currency on light cone right now, even if it is very good.

It's not a take I agree with, but I've seen several youtubers express disappointment in him. How much of that is a reflection of the community as a whole I couldn't say. I don't go on reddit or discord. I've stopped using him because I feel like he requires a level of micromanagement to be effective, and I have other units that are easier to use and are nearly as powerful.

I think Luocha is going to be pretty popular for anyone that doesn't have Bailu. After that it's Kafka, Kafka, and Kafka.

Being able to manipulate the turn order alone would be very very good. But also adding extra damage, a dispel, and then a full party attack and crit damage boost for two turns makes her so good that she will probably be a top tier support for a looooooong time. And more than that, DPS is usually the position that gets powercrept the most over time, making her always relevant and good even when you're eventually replacing characters like Seele.

There is a relatively short bump in difficulty when going up a new EQ, but it quickly becomes just as easy as the previous. You generally want to go up just to get better drop rates for character materials, as the costs for those goes way up and running the calyxs at the highest possible level is the most efficient. Additionally, relic drops vastly improve as well, so it's well worth it to go to the next tier as soon as you are able.

Kafka is great because there really isn't that strong 5* that you wish you had to make her really good. All of the 4*s on her banner are everything you need. But the dot scaling issue is definitely something to be concerned about, for sure.

There's stacking, and then there's stacking to 180%. That's kind of daunting, though I'll see how my first relics on Ruan turn out once I have fodder for them.

As the one guy who's still stuck around MoC 4-5, I trust your judgment far more than my own, but if I want Asta on a team, I'm struggling with where to fit her in. For example, Kafka / Asta, then I'll want a shielder to help keep both upright, then I'll need a healer to help keep both upright, and then I have no room for that new Ruan Mei.

You shouldn't need a healer and a shielder. Maybe as a very short stopgap, or in places with extremely high damage profiles, but MOC 4/5 isn't it. Generally you want to push as much damage as possible with the minimum amount of survivability necessary.

For a Kafka team you could do something like:

Kafka + Sampo + Ruan Mei + Healer

Or just save Ruan Mei for a second team, which you need for MOC anyway, and run:

Kafka + Sampo + Asta + Healer
