buffalo all day posted:kind of a testament to how good that movie is that it’s still watchable despite the “anti-aging” being some of the worst poo poo ever put on the screen its so incredibly bad but everything else somehow makes up for it. i also love a movie that i look up and its been going for 2 hours and there's still over an hour left. scorsese's just so good at building these worlds and scenarios that you just want to live in forever.

I watched all of Beef yesterday lol. It’s kind of fascinating but feels a little like a 10 episode setup for one punchline. Middle eps drag a little but gets increasingly insane towards the finish and is a good reflection on themes of work, money, happiness, and intergenerational trauma. I would recommend it Also almost done with the Dead Ringers series and hell I’ll watch two Rachel Weiszes in anything. Has some absolutely amazing shots in episode 5 where they’re sitting at the table for dinner with a descendant of J Marion Sims (extremely evil bastard who did medical experimentation on slave women and invented the speculum) and they’re carving up these little game hens on their plates while he talks about it and you hear all these exaggerated squelches and bones breaking and knives scraping on china. I’m obsessed and highly recommend it
