If you're really thinking about getting into Marvel/Star Wars/etc. for the first time just do anime instead.

Yeah you won't be as popular at work or anywhere else but you'll get more out of it. None of the characters are, like, real, so they can do physically impossible stuff constantly for maximum spectacle without it being Uncanny Valley as poo poo.

Plus the soundtracks are just better. I don't know who decided that every theme song had to be either an ironic cover or a joyless dirge but I loving hate it. Anime J-Pop and J-Rock songs are glucose shots right to your veins. If you let down your defenses when they come on (which you have to do anyway if you're watching bilge like Star Wars) then you'll be smiling in seconds.

There are a couple of good anime movies but all TV anime is unwatchable. Anything you like about them is done better in games.

Charles Frederick Rogers killed JFK.

I think JFK called his own hit but only in that for the US, either him or Jackie had to go. She had too close of ties to Russia and JFK realized she got too deep in the white house through him. So there had to be a hit and it didn't matter who as long as it was one of them. JFK would have had a hard time living with the guilt, and he knew Jackie was making moves on the Greeks so she'd be fine and farther away from the white house with him gone, so he felt like the best play would be for him to be the intended target of the shot. The reason they set it for the open roof motorcade was to minimize the chances the shot could have missed and maximize the chances the shot would have hit Jackie in the chance that it missed. Either way, one had to go! With Jackie gone, JFK would be less accessible through assets of foreign intelligence, and is too high up to himself be useful in counterintelligence. Jackie on the other hand, with a future tied to the Med, outside the US and outside Russia, would serve to be a valuable asset for both US and Russian foreign intelligence offices.

So, JFK knew about the hit, he knew there was going to be a shot and that the shot would be meant for him. For the bottom line though, it was also acceptable for Jackie to take the hit. She didn't know about the call. If she did, she wasn't expecting the brains. She was expecting something with the heart - JFK was on all the stimulants and a heart attack naturally wasn't out of the realm of possibility on its own - ie, without poisoning. So when he got blasted and she saw the pieces - she was genuinely shocked. JFK knew she would be and in life, was ok with this being a way to go - he loved Jackie but he knew who she was in bed with - he had his affairs with women, but that was all fun - Jackie's were political and financial, and that stung, so he got a serious kick out making his departure be as traumatic and grotesque as possible for Jackie, and as a sign off, letting her know if he wasn't the baller that he was, that shot could have hit her, he wouldn't have needed to remarry, he would have still been president, still had power, still had any woman he wanted. Because it could have been either of them as long as it was at least one. For the overall benefit of the USA. though, it was better for it to be him. 'Don't ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for you country'. For his country, JFK got a Russian asset to be of interest at the highest level to the American public, with a future interest in her future in his absence, and with that future being unclouded by any relationship scandals. That is, no divorce, no drama, just widowed and in her right to remarry. The public still wants to know, so she'll be checking in.

I dunno if I'm willing to die on that hill, but for sure it sounds more plausible than most other theories out there.

Ok, ok, if not an outright Russian asset, she was at least at risk of compromise through her well intentioned international peace work that extended from her time in France shortly after the World Peace Council of 1949. Her internationalism and study of the French language made her a first line of contact for high-society diplomats of sorts from African countries starting to be independent of French protectorate oriented towards some kind of peace with the US but reason for geopolitical plays - perhaps with an attitude in favor of the Vietnam War as an act against France, simultaneously in support of the US and against its ally with the US none the wiser and a level of suggestion at the highest level of direct message and influence to the president (France had economic enterprise in Vietnam that would be hurt by US action, with ties to the first lady, they could communicate in a shared language (French) and be relayed directly to the president with no suspicion of ulterior motive). It may have been outright display of some level of awareness of this potential in her move towards her future husband for political and financial gain with an indirect level of involvement or guidance from US government. Effectively, she was compromised and a liability with JFK in office. JFK was working similarly with her goals of peace in mind, but his level as president and having to handle the actuality of the missiles and the weapons, and being commander in chief, and with a real commitment to Americans first, and the reality that he is seriously a rational and human person, made his own marriage a venue for indirect compromise for foreign influence over US foreign policy without a clear understanding and trust in each others missions separate from each other but also at the same time. Say, Morocco, being a long time ally of the United States, with a treaty of friendship, that doesn't necessarily mean any more than their agreement that the United States is an independent nation and may enter their ports, that may not fully extend to something like, telling the first lady perhaps they would at the level of the king on a personal basis, have an opinion that it would be in US interest to go to war in Vietnam - but only through the friendship being strengthened by inadvertent action that could hurt France. If that makes sense. A month before the assassination she was all over the Med and Morocco.

So, there's unfortunate compromise and it makes sense that one of them had to go for them to be progressively effective in their respective missions. At the end of the day, JFK makes more sense to go and only by assassination - he would not be as effective as a living ex president, after an uncertain finish to his term and potential reelection with potential war. Jackie is still effective as a US asset for global and international diplomacy and business as a widow of the last president that doesn't detract from the goal of peace, or its means through personal relationships. But either way, one of them had to go, so the conspiracy that makes the most sense is that multiple levels of intelligence agencies and even the president himself knew about the risk, and JFK signed off on his own assassination as the best way to go, with a failsafe that Jackie had to go too. Jackie probably did not think she had to be open to that kind of danger in this situation for herself, so she was the least bit suspecting that Dallas with the roof open was where JFK was going to get got. That's the game theory explanation for how to get one of them out at the time with the least real cost of human life and of most appreciation (accumulated value) of current and accrued human life domestic and foreign, moving forward.

Maybe

Still not the hill I'm willing to die on, but if there's going to any conspiracy theories, there should be some that make sense at a level of personal relationship/global and international perspective/effective diplomatic relationships/peace as the mission/competition and economy/USA still number one. So I'm going to say, JFK for sure signed off and consented to the assassination at LEAST, being a highly likely naturally best course of action. If not coordinated in conspiracy, at least in that a rational actor making moves in game theory at the level of nation states with the goal of least cost to overall human life, in questionable conditions of mutually assured destruction, would consider this the most optimal strategy to play to avoid mutually assured destruction and added cost of human life.

Settling something "mano a mano" means you're settling things hand to hand, not man to man.

A dish sponge should never be used to wipe down counters or food prep surfaces. They are the germ equivalent of a Warhammer 40K hiveworld. You'd never wipe your counter down with a bus driver's sweaty post-heatwave-shift underwear, but that would literally be a safer option than a dish sponge.
