Attack speed does affect how rapidly you can cast abilities as long as they're not on cooldown of course. This is why I'll never use 2 handed weapons with my Necromancer, it would take forever to pop all these corpses.

ah okay, so for resource generation purposes, a fast one hander is vastly preferred, and IAS will help generation too.

There should be more people in the pvp zones, it's largely pve.

if its like the other games, they drop an ear when you kill them

this is so goddamn weird. I also heard an NPR story talking about D4 today.

D4 has broken through the cultural zeitgeist in a way that few games ever have. I figured a violent, dark game about punching skeletons would never get to this point.

picture this: it's 2001, and you're doing hell Baal runs with your Javazon. everything is going great. you've downed all the minibosses before the worldstone chamber, and now you're going in with everyone. baal is dying super fast, but he's killed some level 50-something sorc, and the bear druid keeps hitting the fake baals, not the real ones. but it's whatever, because before you know it, baal's at like 2% life when suddenly, out of nowhere, a bunch of bone walls go up, separating you and everyone else from all the drops. some rear end in a top hat necro scoops everything up and leaves the game.

RoS definitely made it good, but launch D3 had a lot of problems that weren't apparently until a couple weeks in

They generally manifest this by making GBS threads relentlessly on blizzard games on forums and through social media while also no-lifing the very same games.

There will be very few concrete answers of what season 1 will be, outside of a very basic overview of its gimmick or maybe a story beat.
