So the premise is that it's a highschool and the pupils are all the cartoon monsters that we normally think of like a wisecracking vampire in James Dean jacket and a mummy and a frankenstein... etc...
But then half way through the series an order of demon hunters places the school under siege. And it's lead by a priest who smokes a big cigar and he's a touch son of a bitch. And like a cartoon dracula killed his wife or something.
So the latter half is just the battle and this is where the characters arc all start to pay off and the mummy has to sacrifice himself and gets horribly immolated by catholic flamethrowers and stuff.
It makes you think who are the real monsters by the end of it.
