Yes, they go off left to right. For jokers that say something like "all Spades give +4 Mult" you don't have to worry about it, but any joker that directly gives you 2x Mult or whatever you should put at the end. Doubling Mult is more effective when you have more Mult to double, obviously.

Incidentally the same applies to playing cards. Make sure your glass cards are on the right!

You generally want your jokers that multiply the multiplier all the way to the right, because jokers generally activate left to right and you want your mult as high as possible before it gets multiplied. Some stuff complicates this, like Ancient Joker applying when the card scores instead of when jokers activate (which is after the cards score), but it's a good rule of thumb.

XModifiers should ALWAYS go on the right

There's some advanced trickery you can do once you start unlocking Jokers that copy other abilities, but the above is basically how you should set thongs up.

Just mentioning again that the switch touchscreen implementation is ridiculously good. My joycons are drifting/broken and still got through 15 challenges in one massive travel clusterfuck after I turned them off entirely and put them away. Plus using a joyconless switch almost makes you look like a normal person.

Just give the actual "Joker" joker for free at the start. The +4 mult and nothing else one. That will at least give you a little bit to build off of and help survive the first 2 antes until you have time to build an actual engine. At the same time, it's not something that would ever be part of your build for the final couple of antes because it's too weak, and it only sells for $1 so it doesn't offer a significant advantage that way either.

FYI: If you're really stuck on Boss Antes where you're given cards face down, you can use Tarot cards like the mult one to temporarily flip them over to see what they are.
