I love that under "other materials" pertaining to the casting call at the bottom page it just lists "Nathenmazri.com" as if to say, "Look, this is all you need to know"

I mean if people read see that page and still want the job that's a pretty good filter right there. You know just save everyone time by letting them know up front what they're in for.

Like sure some of the more litigious places might bother as that's sort of there thing, but I'm sure at least a few times people have noticed and just put him in the same pile as cranks who think lizard people control the world and just ignore it.

Lol, I'm not sure what's funnier, that Nathan is thinking literally anyone else would care that a large media company would take some extrea standardard meausres to protect it's it, That he thinks those sort of companies care at all about their IP's beyond how they can get cash from them, or that anyone else would care there is a tiny bit less Garfield merchandising in the world. gently caress Garfield is notorious for being over merchandised.

Just such an extremely broken world view.

I mean they do care enough to ask people to hand over their merch when something fails because of situations exactly like this this. They don't want some freak to latch onto their IP and claim they're still part of it. It's not that they specifically cared about GarfieldEATS to begin with, or even now. But they don't want people thinking this freak has any say with their IP.

Well yeah they care about merch, and who's using or misusing the ip, yeah. but it's not like it just isn't one of many, many IP's they own. For them he's not showing love to the brand, he's just being an incredibly unprofessional annoying idiot.

It's funny after pulling all this poo poo people would think, yes this is the type of person I want managing my ips merch sales online.

Didn't the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie some how become a success? Like I would of thought that was an even deader IP as like it's started as pretty much just a joke gimmick about don't pitched up voices sound funny, and that was back in 1958.

It can be really hard to tell what's still gonna resonate and what's not. And just what young people these days know about. I remember just through like Animaniacs, and Simpsons references, as well as old Looney tune re-runs being sort of aware stuff like The Godfather, Casablanca, Citizen kane, and other classic stuff existed, well before I was at an age I'd actually watch them. With how weirdly referential modern media is it can be hard to tell what kids do and don't know about. I remember a few weeks ago my six year old niece was telling me about this spooky scary monster called slender man all the school kids were talking about...
