Meh. The US built like a thousand destroyers in WW2, all named after various Navy and Marine heroes, and it wouldn't surprise me if 980 of them were officers. And the ones that weren't were destroyer escorts, which don't get a lot of glamour. I'd be surprised if anyone who didn't serve on one could name any DE outside of Dennis, Samuel B. Roberts, Raymond, or John C. Butler (the four DEs assigned to the famous "Taffy 3" at the Battle Off Samar).

The USS Doris Miller, a Gerald Ford-class nuclear supercarrier, is by far the biggest, most important USN ship to be named after an enlisted sailor, and 1) it's not even fully built yet, and 2) the name was a very pointed political statement, given Dorie Miller was an African-American sailor who has been repeatedly denied a Medal of Honor (both passively and actively—Frank Knox, US Secretary of the Navy at the time, was a horrible racist) for his actions at Pearl Harbor, and the naming decision was made during Trump's presidency

The sullivans?

Fake edit: nvm that was a full destroyer. Well theres always the slater then, the last floating WWII american DE

I take that back theres still a cannon class in service. Goddamn

Youre not. They were long burns that you could chop on and off as fast as you liked or you could hold it for a longer burn and recycle time. The damage increased as you got towards the end of the full burn time so if you cut it after like 50% of the available time it would only do like 25% of max potential damage

Nice crossover!

I want to check out campaign videos, but they're always so long. 30 minutes is my limit. 40 minutes I might stretch to. An hour is too much. Anything beyond is an automatic "No". Reading something that's several hours long is fine, but watching something for that long makes me antsy.

Theres no visuals. Its basically an audio book. Also Grigglack son of Grigglack flies on real bird

Are the strap on retro rockets to make non jump mechs air droppable not a thing yet? They were a thing by dark age officially at the latest. Stackpole spent a page or two talking about them in ghost war
